Dr. Marc Orts-Porcar graduated as a doctor in veterinary medicine in 2014 from the veterinary school of the University of Extremadura, Spain. Following graduation, he completed a one-year small animal rotating internship at a referral private veterinary hospital in Spain. Then, after working as a general practitioner in private practice for more than a year, and simultaneously accomplishing a post-graduate degree in diagnostic imaging, in 2017 he did one year of specialized internship in diagnostic imaging at the veterinary referral hospital of the Catholic University of Valencia. After completing the internship, he stayed for one year in the same institution as an Associate Professor, also becoming an assistant physician in the Diagnostic Imaging Department of the same hospital. Subsequently, he worked for a short period of time as an assistant physician in the Diagnostic Imaging Department of both, the veterinary hospital of the CEU Cardenal Herrera University of Valencia and the veterinary hospital of the Autonomous University of Barcelona, Spain. He then moved to the United Kingdom and worked as a sonographer in a couple of referral hospitals. In 2021 he started a residency program in diagnostic imaging at Pride Veterinary Referrals, UK. In 2024 he successfully completed the residency program of the European College of Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging (ECVDI) and shortly after he moved to Switzerland. In June 2024, he became an assistant physician in diagnostic imaging at the Vetsuisse Faculty of the University of Zurich.
